Heroes in Love

My name is Caty and I'm a graduate student at Emporia State. I'm currently obtaining my master's in library science. I created this website as part of a classs on LGBTQIA services. I also really love history and mythology. When I was a kid my favorite book was D'Aulaires' Book of Greek Myths. I would check out the masssive tome from my school library every week and trace my fingers along the family tree in the front cover until I had memorized it all. As I grew up I widened my horizons to learn more about non western myth and legend. I live in the midwest and I am bisexual. It was not easy discovering this half a lifetime ago in a conservative city. The stories of queer and trans deities, and supernatural figures comforted me. This is a topic very near and dear to my heart, and I'm so happy to share this with all of you.
